A bit about me:
I have been an adviser since 2003, 2 weeks before that I was running a bar and getting punched by drunk people. Its been a great change since then.
My mission has always been to help people, initially just via mortgage advice, but then over time with the wider range of financial services. I am very happy to have saved marriages, kept a few people from the edge of the abyss, helped families get a home they never thought possible, achieve their goals, and I have had the privilege of being there when the worst happens, with the money we promised them years before.
On the business side, I have built a great business, DUX Financial that I enjoy working in, that supports a large team and provides advice to many Kiwis. I am happy to have helped many other Kiwis also become advisers and either work with us or go on to their own adventure.
I don’t like to sit still, so while I am able to give advice on a wide range of financial services, from mortgages, financial planning, insurance, investments and KiwiSaver, budgeting, debt management, managing separation finances and many more, I am also very happy to help people growing their own business in the financial services space.
I enjoy mentoring new advisers, passing on what I have learned (often the hard way), as they grow their businesses. I enjoy advising corporates on new products, and speaking to people and groups about the world of financial advice, in all its forms.
My passion is my kids, I love to see them grow and find new things to enjoy and discover. I am an occasional attendee at Seido Karate where i have a Black Belt, and I am an avid Miniature wargamer and Miniature painter. I love the challenge of solving the problem of my opponent across from me, as they try to solve me.
